Young Authors' Celebrations
 

Thirty schools from the Southern Celebration area, thirteen schools from the Western Celebration area, and thirty-three schools from the Northern Celebration area were invited to submit their students’ creative writing for possible entry in our 2006 VALLEY VOICES journal.

We received 600 journal entries from thirty-nine different schools. This year’s journals will contain 129 of the very best entries. The journal cover winner is still being decided. Thanks to the teachers who judged the entries and to Banta Book Group for printing the journals.

 Each student attending a Young Authors’ Celebration will receive a free journal.  Additional journals for family/friends may be pre-ordered at a cost of $5.00 each from Mary Ellen Chewning, 1832 College Avenue, Harrisonburg 22802.  Orders must be received by April 8.  The preordered books will be ready for pick up at the Young Authors’ Celebrations.
