Shenandoah Valley Reading Council’s 2012 Young Authors Celebration features Michael Shoulders

Michael Shoulders has been immersed in the field of education since the age of twenty-one. As a Federal Programs Supervisor for Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools in Tennessee, he provided assistance to all 30 schools before retiring in 2005. Today, he visit schools across the U.S. and Europe, providing in-service training to teachers on literacy issues and discipline, and he writes!  He says, “An author visit also imparts the love of reading and writing to students. For me, a school visit is exciting because I get to meet the teachers, boys, and girls who read my books!”

Many of his books follow the A to Z theme.  Some book titles include:  D is for Drum, G is for Gladiator, T is for Titanic, Natural Numbers, The ABC Book of American Homes, Say Daddy, and Goodnight Baby Bear.
